Welcome to a new season. A good challenge lays ahead for our newly promoted team. We got the season off to a start by playing Great Bradford who had come down from the B League last season. Playing at home Clacton started well, but Great Bradford matched Clactons effort. Harris Boston was on top form and played well. Clacton had most of the position in the first half, but could not turn their upper hand into goals. So it finished 0 - 0 at half time.

      The second half was much like the first, with Clacton making chances but not taking them. Kyle Lewis - Garrod had a good attempt at goal from the half way line, but it just went wide of the post. With time running out a deflected shot found its way to Charley stambridge just outside the area, he hit a great shot which hit the back of the net. At this point I must say a big welcome to Aaron Smith who has just joined us this season. With almost the last kick of the game Aaron Smith was put clear of the defenders, with only the goalie to beat his shot went just wide. With that the game finished 1 - 0 to Clacton. Well played all, a great start to the new season.
